The Heart Behind the Mission.
You might be wondering, “Who’s Eli, and why is he running for City Council?”
That’s a fair question, and one I’m excited to answer.
But first, a little about myself.
I’m proud to say I was born and raised right here in Topeka. This city isn’t just where I’m from, it’s home. It’s where I went to school, built lifelong friendships, and learned the values that still guide me every day.
Growing up in Topeka taught me the importance of dependability—doing what you say you’ll do, even when no one’s watching. I believe in transparency and honesty in public service, because trust is something earned, not assumed. When you represent your community, you owe them not just your decisions, but the reasons behind them.
I’ve learned that being dependable is it’s own reward. It has taught me to develop a strong work ethic. Whether it’s in my professional life or personal commitments, I draw strength in being industrious, not just working hard, but working smart and with purpose. I believe in solutions that are holistic. Solutions that don’t just put out fires but build long-term stability for our families and neighborhoods.
My values are deeply rooted in what I’d call conscientious family values. It’s a belief in listening, showing up for one another, and taking care of both our loved ones and our community. And at the heart of everything I do is a deep, steady respect for each individual. Everyone in Topeka deserves to be seen, heard, and treated with dignity—no matter who they are or where they come from.
Running for City Council isn’t about politics for me, it’s about people. It’s about making Topeka stronger, more connected, and more responsive to the needs of its residents.
I’m ready to serve. I’m ready to listen. And I’m ready to get to work for you.
